What age do you have to be to rent?
You must be between the age of 18 and 85 to rent from Campervan Australia. All drivers need to have an open class driver’s licence. (No provisional or learner permits).
What type of licence do I need?
Drivers need an open class driver’s license (No provisional or learner permits) to rent from Camperman. If your licence is not in English format, you must also present a valid International Driver’s Permit.
Is there a minimum rental duration?
The minimum rental period for all Camperman vehicles is 5 days, and the cost of the vehicle hire will remain the same if it is taken for 10 days or less. Longer trips provide better value.

Do you have one way rentals available?
Yes, one-way rentals are available. This means that you picked up your campervan hire in Brisbane and complete your tour in Byron Bay.
Do note that there is a location fee of $250.00 for all pick-up and drop-offs at Airlie Beach and Townsville; and a $150.00 fee for all pick-up and drop-offs at the Surfers Rent A Car depot in Mermaid Waters, Gold Coast.
Can I pick up or drop off my campervan at the airport?
The hirer must drop off the vehicle at the drop off location they have contractually agreed to on their rental agreement. Camperman Australia does not offer pick up and drop off services at the airport.
What time can I pick up my campervan?
Vehicle pick-up times are between the hours of 10.00 am and 3.00 pm on weekdays or between 8:30 am and 11:00 am on Saturdays.
Vehicle drop off times are between the hours of 8.00 am and 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Saturday drop-offs are between the hours of 8.00 am to 11.00 am.
Sunday vehicle pick-up and drop-offs are by prior arrangement only.
After hours pick-ups can be made by prior written arrangement only with head office in Cairns.
An $80 after-hours fee occurs for all pickups on Sundays and public holidays.
Camperman Australia is not open on public holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and Good Friday to Easter Monday (or public holidays declared for those days).
Reservations: Monday to Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm.
