Can I book my car rental to pick up by the Airport?

Can I get roadside support for my car rental?

Rest assured Omega rental vehicles are maintained to strict safety standards. Each one receives a full valet clean and thorough 40+ -point safety check before you drive off the lot. However, on the off-chance of a breakdown, all Omega cars are covered by complimentary 24-hour AA Roadservice nationwide.

What's different about driving in New Zealand?

There are a few key things to remember when driving an Omega rental car in New Zealand.

  • Driving in New Zealand is on the left side of the road. This can take some getting used to.
  • On rural roads or highways, the posted speed limit is usually 100km/h, with most urban areas having a limit of 50km/h. The roads can be winding and narrow, so it is extra important to obey road rules and pay attention, and, when in doubt, slow down.
  • All drivers must possess a valid driver licence or permit while driving.
  • At roundabouts, travel in a clockwise direction, giving way to the traffic on your right.
  • Do not use a hand-held mobile phone while driving.

Do I need to book ahead?

It is highly recommended that you book your car rental well in advance to ensure there is availability for your visiting dates and that you get the vehicle you want.
