Does SIXT have hidden fees?
Any charges will be clearly outlined to you. Any additional charges to the daily rate which apply to your rental are all included in your quote at the time of booking. Other extras such as additional driver/young driver fees or pre-paid fuel service may be selected and added to the rental at the time of vehicle collection.
When pre-paid fuel is not purchased, and the vehicle is not filled up prior to return at the airport terminal or depot, the refuelling charge will apply at the completion of your rental. Fees also apply when paying using customer's credit card to cover merchant fees.
Which documents do you need to rent a car in New Zealand?
You must be 21 years old to rent with SIXT NZ. When approaching the rental desk, the renter, driver, and additional drivers have to be in possession of a valid driving license and a valid credit card. Please note that prepaid cards are not allowed.
International renters/drivers also need an international driver's license and a valid passport. Driving licenses printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be complemented by an International driving licence. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driving license treaty (e.g. China), a notarized translation must be presented with the original licence or a translation by an NZ Transport Agency authorized translation service.

How do I cancel my booking? Is there a fee if I need to cancel my reservation?
A booking can be cancelled before the rental begins. In the event of cancellation, the payment in advance (for example it was paid through American Express credit card) already made towards the rental shall be paid back subject to a cancellation charge, which will be withheld and shall be in the amount of the rental charge (including any extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days. Cancellations can be made online or in writing.
What is the maximum period of rental?

What is the mileage policy for my rental?
