Everything you need to know

At GoSee we know it's not always as easy as just choosing the first vehicle you come across for your trip. With motorhomes, there are things to consider, like what's included? Do you need a special licence? Can you bring your furry friend? Below we've answered these questions and more, so that you have the information you need to make the right motorhome choice for you. 

The basics

What are the age restrictions for hiring a motorhome?

There is a minimum and maximum driver's age depending on the vehicle and the company you are looking to book. Please make sure you entered the correct age during the booking process. Please check the terms to see if your desired vehicle is available for drivers under 21. If so, a different insurance policy may apply, so please read the terms and insurance information carefully.

Another way to find out is by beginning the booking process, as all insurance options are usually outlined on the booking page.

When and how can I pay for my rental?

The deposit is collected as soon as your booking is confirmed.The balance will be collected automatically on the due date from the credit card you have provided during your booking process, you will receive a reminder email a few days before just for you to be aware of the transaction. No further action will be required from your side, but to notify your bank for them to avoid any kind of block or you can amend your credit card details through the link provided in that same email in case you want to use a different card.

Are the vehicles on GoSee available to book immediately?

Not always.

Vehicles that can be booked immediately will say 'Instant confirmation' within the search results. If you book one of these, you will receive a confirmation automatically.

Other vehicles will say 'On request' and require 24-48 hours to get back to you with availability. If a vehicle is available and your booking is confirmed, you will be sent a confirmation email. If the booking is not available, we will search for a similar vehicle and contact you with available options. Money will not be collected until you have a confirmed booking.

Licence and drivers

Is my driver's license acceptable?

Please check the vehicle's terms and conditions to see if your national driver's license is acceptable. The requirements can vary from vehicle to vehicle. The rental company may require you to have an International Driver's License.

Are there additional driver fees?

Please check the terms of the vehicle you are interested in hiring to see if any additional driver fees apply.Information varies from company to company, please note that usually, you will be able to add the additional driver under terms or as an additional extra product during the booking process.

Inclusions and extras

What does my Motorhome include?

Depends on the rental company. Sometimes towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, etc. can be included on the rental, other companies will have it available for hire, and in some cases, you will need to supply your own.

Is bedding/linen included?

To know if bedding/linen are included with the standard rate please check the vehicle specification link. Usually, if this is not included you will have the option to add it as an extra product to your booking.

Is the kitchen equipment included?

To know if the kitchen equipment is included with the standard rate go to the vehicle details link. Usually, if these are not included you will have the option to add them as an extra product to your booking.

What are some good camping apps for my trip?

AU & NZ

The Motorhome Republic Travellers App has all the important information on campsites including holiday parks, government-protected areas and free campsites.

US

Good Sam and RV Parks have complete information, covering almost all campsites including holiday parks, government-protected areas, and free campsites. RV Parks is the most convenient to operate. Good Sam offers a membership card which gives you a discount for staying in Good Sam alliance campsites. KOA lets you book campsites directly through the app.

All

Maps.me can be used to find routes and campsites in areas where the signal doesn’t reach as it can be used offline.

Can I bring my pet?

To display only the companies that are pet friendly you can use the 'Pet Friendly' filter under the 'Features' menu in the search results (fees may apply).
